We create and publish in-house a seasonal gardening publication that has been winning accolades since 1994. It is filled with useful information about plants and ornamental landscaping as well as fun and fanciful facts and inspirational words. The Kid's Kolumn includes a thematic word search. Current issues are free at the nursery and for those signing up to be on our mailng list. You must come to the nursery to add your name to the list. In the very near future we will no longer mail The Leaflet™. Rather, we will send you an e-mail notifying you that the newest issue is posted on this Web site. Please stop at the nursery and give us your e-mail address. We will not share it with anyone else.
Past issues of The Leaflet™ are available for sale for only 25 cents each at the nursery.
The Leaflet™ and all of its content are copyrighted material. You may not reproduce any portions of it without our express permission. Thank you for your cooperation. All links below are PDFs and require Adobe Acrobat.
The Leaflet on Water In Summer 2001 Pat devoted The Leaflet™ to the issue of water. In one of its articles she said: "As I write this article in early May and anticipate the upcoming summer, I'm forced to guess how the weather will be. I hope we will have plenty of rain, but the lessons of experience fight with my faith. Whether it rains or not, we'll undoubtedly have water woes, once again. In fact, I imagine we'll have watering concerns from here on out. Increasing demands are surpassing supplies. So, regardless of our rainfall, I urge you to pay heed to this article."
There's little to add to the content of that Leaflet, so rather than creating one to address our current drought situation, the 2001 issue is available here for you to read. It includes Water: Choosing Plants That Need Less of It Designing for Drought: Xeriscaping John Thinks (about summer planting issues) Substitute "Species" Series Blueberries Container GardeningKid's Kolumn (with Word Search relating to water and watering)Miscellaneous thoughts and facts.Click here for the Summer 2001 Leaflet
